Rafael is an experienced finance executive with over 20 years' experience. A qualified accountant with a MBA and a graduate of the AICD, he combines commercial acumen with strong technical knowledge to help businesses of all sizes become more profitable.

Rafael has worked globally across a number of industries, including ASX-listed tech, SaaS, food & drink, healthcare, banking and fintech, web3, AI and not-for-profit, holding a variety of financial management roles from financial controller to CFO. As a member of the Advisory Board Centre he advises boards and business owners in growing sustainably.

He is also an entrepreneur and very active in the Perth startup ecosystem. A business mentor and an angel investor in over 30 companies, Rafael writes on a number of topics relevant to startups and SMEs. He's served on the boards of Perth Angels, StartupWA and eGroup, and been a mentor/judge at CSIRO ON accelerator, Founder Institute and various other accelerator programs.

Rafael is a 40under40 winner and has been nominated for innovation awards at Rio Tinto and P&N Bank, and is a guest presenter for MBA courses at the University of WA and Curtin University.
